Bay State Motor Festival

The inaugural Bay State Motor Festival at Cushing Memorial Park took place this past Sunday, June 8.

Attendees brought plenty of vehicles to showcase the automotive legacy of both the local area and Massachusetts as a whole.

The event is named after the 1924 Bay State sedan–a type of car that was manufactured right here in Framingham–that Ken Lemoine, the Executive Director of the festival, restored himself.

In the latest installment of our series of feature pieces created in conjunction with the Framingham History Center, we spoke with Ken along with other participants in the Bay State Motor Festival to connect our city’s contributions to the American motor industry.
