PSA Day coming May 18

Access Framingham is opening up its TV studio on May 18 to local non profit organizations that would like to record a minute long public service announcement (PSA) at no cost.

The event takes place at Access Framingham’s 4 Vernon St. studio from 11am to 7pm. Organizations need to register in advance and will be provided studio and crew to tape a brief message on behalf of their organization.

Executive Director of Access Framingham Jason Daniels says, “This initiative will welcome organizations to our Studio and provide them with a tangible example of the resources available to them. Plus, they’ll get a video to promote what they do that they can share freely.”

Once registered, the Access Framingham staff will guide groups through the planning process including writing a script and preparing graphics. When finished these announcements will air in Framingham on AFTV Cable Channels: Astound HD Channel 1100, Astound Channel 3, Comcast Channel 9 and Verizon Channel 43. They will also be posted online to accessfram.tv/vod as well as Youtube.
