Orientation Sessions

Come to the studio at 4 Vernon Street and learn all about Framingham’s Community Media Center, and how to get involved! Please check the calendar or contact us for information about upcoming sessions. Orientation is required before participating in workshops.

Production Training Workshops

Access Framingham offers hands-on training workshops to help you improve your TV production skills. For individual course descriptions, please refer to our Workshop Catalog.

When: Most AFTV workshops are held on Wednesday evenings. Occasionally, we offer a workshop during the day, or on another evening. Evening workshops are from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Daytime workshops are from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

Where: Unless otherwise noted, all workshops are at the Access Framingham Studio, 4 Vernon Street.

Cost: All basic level classes are free for members. Be sure to take advantage of this free membership benefit! Some special video education courses will have a fee, with a discounted price for members.

Where Should I Begin? If you are new to video, start with Shooting in the Field 101. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the popular Sony PD-170 camcorder and be ready to videotape shows or news clips.

Registration and More Info: Pre-registration is required for all workshops. Please email the studio at info@accessfram.tv, or call 508-875-5434 for more information and to register. All workshops are subject to change.

Multi-session Workshops: If a workshop is 2 or more sessions, you must attend ALL sessions to be certified. You cannot start a workshop after the first session without prior approval by the instructor.
